Are you a carbon market professional with at least 5 years of experience? Join us to drive the design and implementation of innovative emission reduction and removal crediting activities in various sectors and carbon market segments including the voluntary carbon market and Article 6 of the Paris Agreement. You will contribute to designing innovative and robust approaches for implementing the requirements of Article 6 of the Paris Agreement. In addition, you will be responsible for assessing and developing new methodologies and revising existing ones and interact with our public and private sector clients.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Providing technical expertise to various carbon market studies and guidance to our highly motivated project teams in delivering high-quality outputs and interacting with clients
  • Conceptually designing carbon market activities including developing, revising and applying robust GHG emission reduction methodologies
  • Assessing the robustness of carbon market activity design and implementation
  • Carrying out research activities regarding key carbon market principles such as additionality; robust quantification of emissions reductions and removals; monitoring, reporting and verification and sustainable development benefits and safeguards
  • Independent written input into deliverables, elaboration of Excel-based calculations and PowerPoint presentations
  • Autonomously manage projects (incl. client communication) and project teams
  • Present results to project stakeholders and wider international audiences and justify outcomes/findings
  • Support business development and sales with technical expertise


YOUR PROFILE

  • 5+ years of professional experience in carbon markets/climate policies or climate impact accounting, preferably with consulting companies or applied research institutes
  • Dedicated and experienced professional who is enthusiastic about developing new ideas and projects and about taking responsibility within a team
  • Master’s degree related to energy / environmental engineering, renewable energies, environmental sciences or a similar degree with a technical focus and climate-related aspects
  • Previous experience in working on climate change mitigation projects and carbon market activities with advanced sectoral expertise
  • Fast solution-oriented thinker with an ability to articulate concepts clearly in writing and verbally
  • Proven ability to manage projects autonomously, including client communication
  • Excellent presentation and report writing skills that meet highest professional standard
  • Well-structured with an ability to set priorities
  • Proficient user of PowerPoint, Word and Excel
  • Full working proficiency in English is a must; proficiency in French and/or German are considered an advantage
